Next-Move Tactics
Everything so far has been about tactics that already exist on the board right now. This module is about training a habit one level up: for every legal move available -- yours or the opponent's -- what NEW tactic would that move create? A piece that's just sitting there quietly might be one hop away from forking two pieces; a rook that's currently blocked by its own piece might be one move away from a skewer the instant that piece steps aside.
This kind of one-move-ahead scanning is what separates players who only react to tactics from players who set them up. It's also exactly how you spot your OPPONENT'S coming threats before they arrive -- if you can see that your knight move would create a fork, you can be certain a stronger opponent is checking whether their own moves would too.
This is deliberately the most advanced module in Tactics: it doesn't ask you to recognize a fixed shape on the board, it asks you to imagine a shape that isn't there yet.
Worked examples
Pin one move away (Na2 unblocks Ra1's x-ray)
The a1 rook is blocked by its own knight right now. Moving the knight off the a-file (e.g. Nc3) opens an x-ray pin on the a4 knight, through to the a8 king.
Fork one move away (Na6-c7)
The a6 knight attacks nothing yet. Hopping to c7 would fork the a8 rook and the e8 king at once.
Skewer one move away (Ne2 unblocks Re1)
The e1 rook is blocked by its own knight on e2. Moving the knight off the e-file (e.g. Nf4) reveals a skewer through the e4 king to the e8 rook behind it.

This knight doesn't threaten anything yet. Find the move that creates a fork.
